Custom songs about your guests, written in the room.
The host’s golf game. The night your parents met. The friend who is always late. Send Willy B the stories, and he’ll turn them into songs, live, while the people they’re about try to keep a straight face.
In short
Willy B, a Miami musician, writes songs about his clients’ guests on the spot. Before the event, hosts send him details and stories about the people being celebrated. During his set he improvises songs around them, then gets the room singing, and sometimes playing, along. It’s available with his private-event, wedding and corporate performances in Miami and South Florida.

How it works
You send him details about the people you’re celebrating. Names, how they met, the running jokes, the stories that always come out at dinner.
During the set, he builds a groove on his looper and improvises songs around what you sent, then hands the chorus to the room. Guests sing along, and sometimes play along.
In Willy’s words, it’s an improvisational ability “to create songs about the people that … have literally hired me for the gig that I’m playing in front of them.” And, he adds, “it becomes really meta.”
The moment everyone remembers
The guest of honor hears their own life in a song, in front of everyone they love: the toast they didn’t have to give, set to music.
At dinner parties, Willy can walk the table and sing about the host and every guest, with love. Everyone gets a verse. You decide how sharp it gets. One private host has booked him about every three weeks for the past three years for exactly that.
Made for nights about someone
If the night is about someone, he can sing it.
- Milestone birthdays
- Anniversaries
- Proposals and engagement parties
- Weddings: a song about the two of you
- Retirements and farewells
- Dinner parties, where the whole table gets a verse
- Company dinners honoring a colleague
What to send him
Send what you’d tell a close friend who’s about to give the toast. He’ll take it from there. Planning the whole night? Start with private events or weddings.
- Names, and how to say them
- How people met, and who they are to each other
- The stories that always come out at dinner
- Inside jokes and nicknames
- Anything that’s off limits

Questions
Good to know
Can you write a custom song for a birthday party?
Yes. Milestone birthdays are made for it. Send Willy the birthday person’s stories ahead of time, and he’ll turn them into a song during the party and get everyone singing it back.
Is the song written before the party or during it?
During. He improvises the songs live from the stories you send beforehand, so every song is one of a kind and happens in front of the people it’s about.
Can the song be a surprise?
Yes. Send the stories privately; the guest of honor doesn’t need to know until the song starts.
Will the song embarrass anyone?
Only as much as you want it to. Tell him what’s fair game and what’s off limits. Some nights call for a tender tribute, others for a roast.
How far ahead do you need the stories?
At least a couple of weeks before the event, and the earlier, the better.
Does a custom song cost extra?
Usually, yes. Custom songs are typically quoted on top of the performance, as part of your personal quote. Ask about your date.
Can we keep a recording of the song?
Yes. Ask for a private recording of your song, mixed and sent to you after the event. It goes into your quote.
